Archival historyDonated by a former employee of Simon Handling Engineers, who acquired the computer from its builder. The builder of the computer was an engineer who worked for a subcontractor of Simon Handling Engineers and who had computing skills. He gave it to Mr Dale when he acquired another home-built computer. Mr Dale worked at Simon in the electrical and instrumentation department. The company had mini computers for project work in the office but Dale became interested in computers and was part of a computing interest group that met at work one night a week. He used this computer for playing games and other running other programs written by the previous owner. Dale's son subsequently built him a more powerful computer with a colour screen. This computer has a homemade interface and a modified 64K memory.
